Botox is currently enjoyed by millions of patients, as it is the only treatment of its type approved by the FDA. It is a simple, non-surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe lines and wrinkles.
Many wrinkles are actually creases that have been worn into the skin by making the same expression thousands of times. Injections smooth wrinkles by safely and selectively blocking the muscle from contracting. As a result, the muscle relaxes and the wrinkles gradually soften and disappear.
